Seminar: Dialogues with Images. Art, Heritage and Narratives for Europe
June 26, 2014 at ISCTE-IUL University Institute of Lisbon
Following the seminar Dialogues with Images. Art, Heritage and Narratives for Europe, held June 26, 2014 at ISCTE-IUL University Institute of Lisbon, the connected research project with an iconographic basis on the relations between contemporary art, memory and the European historical heritage is to continue. The project works with images of art and heritage that may anchor the reflexivity about cultural issues in institutional and political agendas. It includes the selection of a corpus of images with a special metaphoric potential. An interdisciplinary project team with the participation of experts in sociology of art and culture, cultural policy, history of art, museology, contemporary art, visual studies and European studies is being formed. Prof. Conde welcomes information about similar projects in the European context and a dialogue with colleagues sharing the same interest and approach.
