Regional Observatory on Culture in East-Central Europe

Founder and director of the Budapest Observatory: Regional Observatory on Culture in East-Central Europe. He has done consultancy in various fields of cultural policy, among others for the Council of Europe and the European Commission; is author of the Hungarian entry of the Compendium of cultural policies, and has been a speaker at various international conferences. Previously, he held various positions in the civil service, including deputy state secretary for culture. Péter Inkei has also worked in publishing – with Central European University Press – and was Founding Director of the Budapest International Book Festival in 1994.
