Jonathan Price

Dr Jonathan Price is an independent researcher, lecturer and consultant with over 25 years of experience in the cultural sector. He is active in European cultural and research programmes both as a funding assessor and a policy advisor. With an academic background in literature and cultural studies, Jon's doctoral and postdoctoral work has explored the theory and practice of cultural leadership and he currently teaches on arts managment and leadership at the University of Leeds UK. His early career was in theatre, journalism and music promotion, followed by several years in arts development and cultural regeneration for local government, before moving into academia and consultancy. He has substantial experience of programme management, cultural strategy, fundraising, grant assessment, youth and community development, event management and international co-operation. Jon has worked on cultural funding programmes at local, national and international levels, including work as a lead expert for EACEA on Creative Europe. He evaluates arts projects for organisations across the UK.
